Build the schema before you build another dashboard
A polished chart on messy events only accelerates the wrong debate.
Teams under pressure often skip naming rules and jump to a new board. Weeks later, two teams argue over different numbers for the same button because three events still describe one action.
Prefer intent verbs over UI widgets. Keep platform out of the event name and in a property. Write allowed properties the same day the event is born—or the event becomes a free-form dump.
In Event Schema Design we spend early days on the decision map, not on chart cosmetics. Dashboards get sharper only after the catalogue stops arguing with itself.
